One of the most flexible Compressors Ive ever used, and the limiter is awesome.
Besides Mix Buss, and Mastering, Ive come to love this for so many other things, and its amazing for tracking, because you can have control, and its very transparent if you want it to be, but gives you all the control you need. The gain in this box is also part of the charm. Also, you can track through it just to use the Silk which is awesome. This has been my Drum Overhead Compressor since Ive had it, it just works soooo good. You can get pretty aggressive on it, and even use the mix knob around 25-50% for example, and you get amazing control, and detail, but Cymbals especially always sound natural. The list goes on, and on, and as long as Ive had it Im always discovering new intricacies about it. It sounds funny, but its actually a really intricate piece, with lots of subtleties. Absolutely loved it for vocals, snare with the limiter in parallel, drum Buss even.
Also when people say its transparent, it def is, but not in a boring way. You can absolutely get colour, and heavy compression/limiting out of this box, but the magic with it as well is how much GR and Limiting you can get away with, and the Compression itself sounds soooo natural. On mixes, Ive dialed it in to average around -3 to -4 DB of reduction, but then have loud tom hits or Sub drops etc that smack -8 to -14 DB, and it controls it, adds the envelope you want, and gets out of the way. Theres not many Compressors that can do that, but also sound the way this does. I always describe it kind of like if a 33609, and a Focusrite Red2 had a kid lol.

Comes with OG Box / Foam inserts,
and Manual, and a full set of spare Knobs I got from RND. Ones mark was just a hair off, and they sent me a full set. Some knobs on these are known to not visually line up perfectly, mine are dialed!
