Daytime Respite for children with diverse-abilities
Hello, I am currently taking on a few more clients for daytime respite relief in your home and daily activities between my classes until April and then I have an open schedule until next September.
I am almost finished my second year of my Child and Youth Degree and I also have 25 years of working with children who have diverse-abilities.
I work well with children who have demand avoidance, autism, adhd, and social anxiety.
I have a child who has autism therefore I am very qualified working with demand avoidance.
I use a person center approach and use a strengths and relational approach when working with youth.
We work on lifeskills such as overcoming task avoidance and creating meals and snacks, dialogue for social interaction, create alarms to help become independent for school attendance, self-care and chores.
Awareness for building connections with peers and social awareness of healthy relationships along with knowing what bullying is.
Learning to create healthy routine.
Arts and crafts to work on fine motor skills
Playground time which helps build muscle for our children with low muscle tone
My rate is $30 per for a minimum of 4 hours per shift.
I have availability Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Friday after 2:30.
I do take Autism Funding but payment must be upfront and then the client is reimbursed by autism funding.
Feel free if you would also like a break just for you as I know first hand caregiver burnout is intense and you deserve that break.
