The Mural Project 1941-1942 was a commission by the Department of the Interior to create mural-sized photographs of U.S. National Parks and other sites for display in the Department's Building. The project was halted by WW11, but Adams produced over 200 photographs, including Kearsage Pinnacles which showcased the Country's natural beauty and resources.
