In excellent condition, built by the Peterborough Canoe Company, this canoe has been in clean, dry storage for many decades, after successfully completing the Bowron Lakes circuit.
(including the rapids.)

Fiberglass was professionally added to outer shell, protecting the original wood and canvas underneath.

PLEASE NOTE:
The fiberglass has perfectly preserved the original canvas underneath ... (similar to gyprock on old houses ironically preserving the beautiful wood paneling on heritage homes.)
If desired, removing the fiberglass CAN be done professionally - without damaging the original canvas underneath.

The Canadian Canoe Museum can provide further information regarding this canoe (Model 16S, SN 6982).

A real collector's item and part of Canadian history.

The best way to explore and appreciate Canadian lakes and rivers is with a Peterborough canoe - and the fibreglass coating offers excellent protection during your portages, running errands across the lake to pick up supplies, running some rapids (just for fun), etc.
