Mostly due to financial reasons we are looking to rehome our Newfoundland cross - Maverick.

Maverick is an incredible dog. He's very gentle. Excellent with children, dogs and other pets. He's quite independent but when he feels he's not getting enough attention he'll put his head in your lap for a minute and let you know.

He really loves being in the water so this area is good for him. He walks well on a lead and is house trained, crate trained and altered. He'll need an owner who is willing to groom him at least every week but preferably every day. His coat is very high maintenance. He needs to be fed a high quality food or he does develop body odour. He has a slow metabolism so doesn't need as much food as his large size would imply.

He sheds a lot so a good vacuum is required although I find using the furminator products a big help. I'd also prefer a yard but if you are quite athletic that's fine too. He's about five years old so he's doesn't really have the puppy zoomies anymore.

I'm going to need to have you meet with him a couple times and preferably see your home. I'd like to keep in contact with you too and will be willing to take him back at any time if it doesn't work out.

I have a sweet rat named Jane looking for a new home. I adopted her a couple of months ago as a cage mate for my rat who had lost her former cage mate. Unfortunately, since my other rat is quite old, they are not getting along very well. I don't have the capacity to care for more than two rats (ie. three or four, if I wanted to get them other cage mates to lighten the mood) and my first rat's health is not as good as it used to be- she is nearing the end of her life. I am looking for someone kind and loving to take care of Jane, who is a sweetie if you treat her well. She is still a little nervous and test-nibbles fingers, but I think if bonded with the right person, she could be the best kind of rat. Once she gets over her initial anxiety of being out of her cage, she sits on your shoulder to brux or explores. She needs some more trust-training, especially with being taken out of her cage, but since she was terrified of people when she came home with me I see only improvement in her future. She has had a recent vet visit (two weeks ago) and has been deigned in excellent health, but I'm willing to pay for another visit to the vet if you need to make sure. She is not a rat who will instantly love you, like any relationship, Jane needs to get to know you first. Please do not respond if you are looking for a "cute" or "easy" pet for a child, rats are not simple pets you can just keep in a hamster cage and play with once in awhile. Rats are intelligent, loving creatures who need companionship and love to have the happiest life possible.

NOT TO BE ADOPTED AS SNAKE/OTHER ANIMAL FOOD.

Please e-mail me if you are interested and we'll discuss a meeting/get some questions answered on both sides. I'm willing to let a home-modified cage go with her if you need one. I just want her to be happy.

We recently adopted a couple of adorable Brittany Spaniel boys and were told they were a little shy before we drove 3 hours to meet them. They are a lot shy, but it didn?t seem right to leave them in a kennel indefinately so we bought them and brought them home.

Once we got home we realized that they have never been around young children and are quite unsure of them. We have kids ranging from 2-6yrs old so it is essential the pups we keep in the family are not afraid of them. They have been neglected and while fed and watered, they have been deprived of human love and affection. We have hugged them and loved on them, bathed them, but as soon as our exuberant kids come running they start to tremble.

While we don?t believe these little guys would harm the kids, we feel it would be best to find them a home where they can be socialized without the added stress.

We are asking a reasonable fee to deter anyone from buying them for undesirable and cruel intentions. These little guys are really just sweethearts that need a human touch to bring them to their full potential. They are 12 weeks old and have been vaccinated and de-wormed.

I have a 6 yr old Akita cross for adoption to good home.
She is very well behaved and never barks. She is a great walking/running companion, and has all the basic obedience skills. She is up to date with vet visits and is spayed, she is extremely friendly with people, kids, cats and other dogs.
She is very large weighs 110 1bs. But a teddy bear.

I have been working my dogs through Sue Ailsby's Training Levels programs for the last few weeks and thought I would pass it along to you as I am finding it useful to keep me on track with training.

It's a great program for owners who want to solve some behavior problems, learn to shape a well-behaved pet or create a skilled competitor.

Of course, it can also be sued with cats and other animals too! (There is a cat that has completed level 2!)

I would like to find a home for this fiesty family of 8 budgies. I love these guys but after 15 years of bubbling budgie ownership I would like to be able to travel more and would like to find them a home where they can be appreciated for their adorableness and cheerfulness. They have always added life and colour to my home. There are a couple of misfits in the bunch. The oldest one is 8 years old, the youngest is 1 year old. Most have lived together all their lives. One we rescued after he survived a winter outside and lost some toes to frostbite. We gave him a happy chirpy home. Each one has their own unique personality. They are the sweetest birds ever.

They come with a large size parrot cage,(2 cages), many water dishes and seed cups, high quality perches... concrete and wood,nest box, and many many other accessories. I would like to see them go to someone with bird experience. There is no fee required. Just a commitment to care for them well.
